If you were driving along at saw what looked to be, at the very least, a small atomic explosion in the night sky, you might pull over. At the very least, to process what just happened. Not in Russia, where the second meteor in a year appears to have exploded over western Siberia.  This enormous fireball happened in Sverdlovsk Oblast, which is just a short drive from Chelyabinsk, where a meteor exploded and injured over 100 people last year.

We are seeing this type of thing happening more and more over the last 5 or so years. Very interesting indeed. People are now because of technology able to catch meteor strikes or atmospheric explosions on a regular basis now days. But the interesting thing is this. These strikes are getting bigger and bigger as time goes on. We also just found out that one of the largest impact craters in North America was caused by, get this, a comet! 🙂 So keep your eyes on the sky with cameras ready because you never know when something like this will happen to you.
