And here’s another great way to preserve your foods. Some of them like these Chili Peppers you see here are easy to get ready for storage. All you have to do is get yourself a needle and thread and pierce the chili stem all the way through not the chili itself, just the stem part. Once you have done this simply repeat the process with out chili’s untill you have around 10 to 15 of them on a string and then hang them up some where to dry. Always remember that air circulation is very important when drying anything. As you can see mine are hanging in the window drying with no problems at all. I have chili’s that will curl your toes and they have been dried for over ten years! You can dry many things simply by slicing them real thin and placing them on screens and drying them naturally in the  great out doors! Take it from us we dry it in the summer and eat it in the winter. Nothing like eating your very own home grown foods! Try it you’ll like it!
